getting fadora 9 to work

so i go it to work at school with a live CD, but as when i took the live CD home to play around with it, all i get is the text interface. the only diffrence that i can think of that would impact my results is the fact that i have a nvida 6200 TC card at home and an AIT RADON X800 at school. what shouldi try to get it working at home.

You probably made a good guess as to the cause but you should try the different boot options, if there is a Vesa mode you can try that, it works on just about any display with universal drivers.
