HOW TO: Get a video from my camcorder to YouTube?

Hey folks!!

I have a Sony Camcorder 8MM that is about 10 years old and still works great.

I have never tried to put anything on our computer (or You Tube) from our
camera. Is that doable?????

For years, we have copied the tapes to our VCR (yes we still have one of those)
but that is the extent of our expertize.

Hubby filmed me on the cruise ship in the Legends Show and I need to get this
on You Tube.

Any suggestions????
