hi, I had a very outdated linksys router which gave me only 11mbps wirelessly.. I just purchased a new linksys g range plus router which says i am connected at 54mbps. I know that i obviously will not get these speeds wireless, but my download speeds are about 1.8mbps. my internet browsing seems to be just as slow as before. I need some advice. Thanks

The 11Mbps and 54Mbps figures are your internal connection speeds between PC and router. They make no difference on the speed of your actual internet. If you were to have, for example, 25Meg broadband connection and you were only previously using a device that could send only at 11Mbps, then the upgrade would have been beneficial.

Your issues are more likely an Internet Provider one.
