Hi!

I'd just like to say thanks to people at Geeks to Go - you helped me loads on my first computer build.

I've just built a new machine:

AMD X2 6400+
2GB Corsair
500GB HD
OCZ StealthXstream 500w (my mistake last time was a poor PSU)
Asus M2N
MSI NX8800GT 'Zilent' Zalman
Vista 32 Ultimate
Office 2007
AVG Free 8
SpyBot

It runs great - other than vista's characteristic slow moments.

So - one day Arial font disappeared. I noticed when Google's text went italic in IE7 and bold in firefox.

I can re-install Arial font and then immediately both browsers display the fonts correctly again.
But, on reboot the font is always missing again.

It wouldn't bother me too much, except I feel that there is something else behind all this.

Er.. so should i post a Hijack this report, or has anyone heard of this before already?

THANKS!

D

See if this "registry patch" fixes the default font:

It worked! Sweet - and all vista's font are now nicer too. Recommended hack.
