XBOX 360, PLEASE HELP

My 360 has been sent in and replaced multiple times by miscosoft but it seems like every current new game, i.e. GTA 4 and FIFA 2008, dont work when my hard drive is in, but if taken out from the 360 it works fine. Any reason for this, do i need a new hard drive or can i fix this?? It does not read the game when the hard drive is in....
