I understand that you are very frustrated regarding the slowness of your computer. However, if you suspect that you have a virus, please do follow the proper procedures for a trusted staff to take a look.

As I must follow the rules of this community, I can only tackle the window options that may increase your experience.

I would do a few things.

1) Clean up your system (start removing any programs that you don't really use)
2) Defrag defrag and defrag
3) Remove temporary files. You can do that easily by using ATF cleaner (click to download)
4) Check to see how much Hard drive space is remaining. A good system should have more than 15-20% of hard drive space free. Anything less will start to hinder system performance.
5) Consider the amount of programs you run and the amount of physical ram available. Try to close down as many programs as possible or buy more ram it is affordable and necessary.
6) Use the LvlLord patch (if you have Windows SP2) and increase TCP-IP half open connections to 100 (USE THIS WITH CAUTION)

Good luck.
