Im trying to get My Sony Ericson k310i unlocked to use with a different sim card,

I took it to a shop to get it unlocked but the man said he coulndt do it and it was one of the hardest phones to unlock.
But looking on the web aperntly you can even do it yourself & there are these Services Where you submit your Imei to and they do it for you,

My question is,
is it one of the hardest phones to unlock?
& do these online services actually work? has anybody here actually used them?
