Hello,
I would take the Vista DVD back to where you bought it and request another disc.
The error messege You posted can be caused by a faulty or improperly formated hard drive, or a corrupt DVD.
I assume that this is not a recovery disc from another machine, as that will not work.
I would like to provide the following suggestions:
1. Change a DVD drive to run the installation program.
2. Obtain a new Windows Vista disk to run the installation program.
3. Check the hard drive. Sometimes the installation fails due to the damaged hard drive.
4. Install Windows XP and then run Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor:
http://www.microsoft...adeadvisor.mspx
5. Copy the installation files from the Vista disk to the local hard drive and manually run the Vista installation file in Windows XP.

Solved:
I installed WinXp first on my 250gb then copied the Vista ISO files to the 250gb hardDrive. Then Installed Deamoon tools because its was an ISO File. I ran the Vista installer and choose upgrade option.

Before all this I tried several other things to troubleshoot the problem.

such as:

running vista update adviser
Running UBCD to check my hardrive
double checking the raid drivers were installed even though the HDD I was using was not SATA.
Buring multiple ISO images at speeds slows as 2.4x using Nero.
Using different programs to burn ISO's.
Formated the drive several times.

but in the end copying the files to the hard disc and running vista from Winxp using upgrade was the fix..

Thank you for suggestions if anybody else has a similair problem ask me and I'll try to help.
