Help w/sound settings for a car stereo

I have a new car stereo (JVC). Love the stereo but cant get it to sound good. The settings for bass and all the others that I dont even know what they do. Number settings? Help totally cluless

Hi dpelton and welcome to G2G!
Can you please state the Model of your JVC KD.........?
Also, what are the RMS ratings of your speakers (Front & Back),do you have Tweeters fitted? What about a usersmanual,do you have one?
