i installed it and then unistalled it and i need my pic and stuff back what do i do?

Plug your camera into a USB port, then click on Start> Computer> removable drive (icon shows your camera), then you should be able to retrieve your pics from the camera.
Look in "My Pictures" or "Windows Photo Gallery" to see where your pictures were saved.

I have a Kodak camera and I've never installed the software on my Vista computer.
