Every once in a while a seemingly simple question just stops me cold....never even thought of it.
Not even sure it's needed, but first check control panel for removable devices, also check start menu >programs and look for a utility installed by the driver.
If that fails, go to device manager.
Right click MY COMPUTER, choose PROPERTIES, choose DEVICE MANAGER
Drop down to universal serial bus devices and select the mass storage device, right click, and choose remove/delete (can't recall what it says)

This is boo gal. Still have same problem with removing my Mini Cruser flash drive safely from my work Windows 98 computer because the green light stays on.
I tried the optins and advice from gerryf (posted 5-4-05)...I think he's on the computer tech staff??? Anyway-the advice gerryf gave me I tried, but it just removed the drivers and uninstalled them from my computer. I have reinstalled them and still await an answer to my original posting. Any other advice or suggestions would be great. Thanks---boo gal.

Your drivers should automatically reinstall on startup---you should not have to reinstall them
As for your issue, there does not seem to be any thing to do but shut down...a few companies provided a utility for this but apparantly minicruz is not one of them.

one other thought....right click the minicruz drive itself in MY COMPUTER....is there, perhaps, a REMOVE, or EXIT there?
