Alright last night the sound was working before i went to bed.....i wake up today and started playing some games and noticed no sound. I i checked all the cables there fine....i check the drivers and one seems to be out of date so i update it and figured that was it but i was wrong. So i have updated drivers and cables are good so i don't know what the problem is.

Connector loose inside the machine? Once I almost tore my hair out trying to find out why the sound had gone on my mrs' pc but it turned out the spdif cable inside had come loose from the connector; must've been loose to start with.
