Hi!
I need help , few days ago I accidentally downloaded an unidentified zip file via torrent and I unzipped it.

Now ,my computer has slowed down alot when I switch it on and off. This is my first time of such an incident.
My current antivirus programme is AVG, which scan shows that which ended up infecting my PC with trojan viruses(as attached screenshot).Furthermore, my AVG cannot be updated ! :) . My computer is currently operating on Windows XP SP2.
Anyone can help me ?Really appreciate any help A.S.A.P....

Yeah , update on my situation. I followed the Malware Guide from http://www.geekstogo...-Log-t2852.html ,so I followed all instructions and did Malwarebytes Anti-Malware quick scan. And here is the log(as below). And then , I restarted my PC. However, I cannot proceed to Step Three: Windows Updates for some reasons that I don't know (as attached screen). Should I proceed with Hijack This log ???Please help me ,I am really an amateur in this Malware removal thingy

Please download OTScanIt.exe to your Desktop and double-click on it to extract the files. It will create a folder named OTScanIt on your desktop.
  • Open the OTScanIt folder and double-click on OTScanIt.exe to start the program.
  • Under Additional Scans check the boxes beside the following:
    • Reg - App Paths
      Reg - Bot Check
Reg - Disabled MS Config Items
      File - Additional Folder Scans
  • Under Drivers change it to Non-Microsoft.
  • Under Files Created Within and Files Modified Within change it to 90 days.
  • Under Rootkit Search change it to Yes
  • Check the box at the top-left beside Scan All Users
  • Now click the Run Scan button on the toolbar.
  • When the scan is complete Notepad will open with the report file loaded in it.
  • Click the Format menu and make sure that Wordwrap is not checked. If it is then click on it to uncheck it.
Use the Add Reply button and post the information back here in an attachment. I will review it when it comes in. The last line is < End of Report >, so make sure that is the last line in the attached report.

Make sure you attach the report in your reply. If it is too big to upload, then zip the text file and upload it that way

Those two files are part of OTScanIt. It's a false positive that AVG is picking up due to heuristics. It is safe to ignore them.

Start OTScanIt2. Copy/Paste the information in the quotebox below into the panel where it says "Paste fix here" and then click the Run Fix button.

The fix should only take a very short time. When the fix is completed a message box will popup telling you that it is finished. Click the Ok button and Notepad will open with a log of actions taken during the fix. Post that information back here.

I will review the information when it comes back in.

Thanks for your quick reply. Apparently OTScanIt2.exe which I downloaded from bleepingcomputer.com is either not the correct software or not responding well because I had an empty screen in the OTScanIt2 later on after I pasted the fix and run Fix.

I keyed Crtl+alt+del to check if it is working or not ,apparently it is not responding. However, when I double click to run the OTScanIt2 again a notepad message appear like this:-

Files moved on Reboot...

Registry entries deleted on Reboot...
Registry delete failed. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows\\AppInit_Dlls:tmnklc.dll scheduled to be deleted on reboot.

Is there any problem? What should I do next ?

I would recommend restarting your computer, and then continuing with the following:

Please download ComboFix from Here or Here to your Desktop.

**Note: In the event you already have Combofix, this is a new version that I need you to download. It is important that it is saved directly to your desktop**
  • Please, never rename Combofix unless instructed.
  • Close any open browsers.
  • Close/disable all anti virus and anti malware programs so they do not interfere with the running of ComboFix.

    -----------------------------------------------------------

    • Very Important! Temporarily disable your anti-virus, script blocking and any anti-malware real-time protection before performing a scan. They can interfere with ComboFix or remove some of its embedded files which may cause "unpredictable results".
    • Click on this link to see a list of programs that should be disabled. The list is not all inclusive. If yours is not listed and you don't know how to disable it, please ask.

      -----------------------------------------------------------

    • Close any open browsers.
    • WARNING: Combofix will disconnect your machine from the Internet as soon as it starts
    • Please do not attempt to re-connect your machine back to the Internet until Combofix has completely finished.
    • If there is no internet connection after running Combofix, then restart your computer to restore back your connection.

    -----------------------------------------------------------

  • Double click on combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
  • When finished, it will produce a report for you.
  • Please post the "C:\ComboFix.txt" along with a new HijackThis log for further review.
**Note: Do not mouseclick combofix's window while it's running. That may cause it to stall**

You don't need to attach the ComboFix log, it can make it harder to analyze it. You can just post it in your reply like your HijackThis log.

1. Please open Notepad
  • Click Start , then Run
  • Type notepad.exe in the Run Box.

2. Now copy/paste the entire content of the codebox below into the Notepad window:

File::
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\el32.dll
C:\WINDOWS\Tasks\At1.job
C:\WINDOWS\Tasks\At10.job
C:\WINDOWS\Tasks\At11.job

[-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\explorer\mountpoints2\{934ff5f8-a848-11dc-8b0b-001b24d36062}]
[-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\explorer\mountpoints2\{f462ca42-c650-11dd-8da7-001b24d36062}]

3. Save the above as CFScript.txt.

4. Then drag the CFScript.txt into ComboFix.exe as depicted in the animation below. This will start ComboFix again.

5. After reboot, (in case it asks to reboot), please post the following reports/logs into your next reply:
  • Combofix.txt
  • A new HijackThis log.
