Hi All,
I plan to sell my laptop and want to delete all my internet history and downloads completly. In case some personal information falls into the wrong hands.

How do I do this?

Thanks,
Brendan.

look for file shredders like cyber srub , evidence eliminator, asl file wiper, etc. most file shredders have an option to delete all traces of your srufing habits/ sites you went to.
hope this helps

hey ei hows it, i think for safety reasons you should use killdisk,it wipes your hard drive clean to the u. s. dod, then reenstall your os that way none of your info can fall into the wrong hands. the most secure way is to pull your hd and burn it or wipe with a magnet then install a new hd i know it sounds a bit radical but you would amazed at what someone can recover from a wiped hd. cheers :tazz: keep fighting the good fight

All this sounds a bit extreme.
How about clearing history, deleting all offline content, deleting cookies and clearing autocomplete.
Would that not prevent most non- experts from discovering what sites I was visting.

hey ei, hows it, well it may sound extreme but even though im not a top notch cracker i could with some simple software most likley steal everything that you have ever stored on your hd.please do me a fav and download siw.exe you can go to majorgeeks.com, its just a sys info tool much like everst or aida32 download it will run for a few secs to gather info after its done gone to the top of the page look under tools click on secrets it will take a few secs to compile, you will be amazed at what it finds...then tell me about cleaning your hd. :tazz: keep fighting the good fight
