Firefox is more user friendly. they offer a ton of free plug ins to help your websurfing run smoother. Ie seems to be more buggy and crash a bit more. Try reinstalling Fox, you'll pick it up soon enough

Also, Firefox is no where near as vulnerable to spyware as Internet Explorer. Also the built in pop-up blocker is a plus

hey joe hows it,alkot of what u hear about ie vs. firefox is not really true in terms of being more secure.http://www.informationweek.com/story/showArticle.jhtml?articleID=160900911&pgno=1 check out the landa report it will really give you the lowdown. in a nut shell firefox is a gecko based rendering engin and ie is trident, ie supports activex not a good thing for surfing the www if you want to be spyware free, howver try to log into most banking sites and you will soon have to use ie or some other trident based browser.firefox has a really good pop up and pop under blocker ie6 with sp2 is pretty good. firefox has adblock that is great
ie6 you can use iespyad it does much the same.firefox has really good themes and plugins ie6 uugghhh,i think you have move over all control with firefox, ie6 loads faster then firefox unless your running the new sun java5(1.5) the 1.4 seems to take forever to load.interestingly us-cert, reported that ie6/sp2 had 13 vunerabilites between july1/dec31/04 while mozilla browsers had 21.also remember that about 85% of the world uses ie while the rest uses asortment of linux mac unix solaris bsd etc, so of course the crackers are attacking the biggest target, wait until there are 3 4 hundred million firefox users, the spyware scumbags will be out in droves you can bet your life on it.so to sum up i love ff tab browser cool themes some what more spyware free, but i keep ie close at hand for those sites that only work with ie6 cheers dude
keep fighting the good fight

A while back I heard this news about Firefox IE. 5 high risk security holes were found in both IE and FF. Firefox fixed in- 4.5 days. IE-Probably 10 years from now.
