My daughter has been having long time problems with this computer, I finally had to pry it from her and work on trying to figure out what is wrong with it.
Yesterday - each time she plugged the system into her power charger, the computer became so slow that it almost would not function.
I checked the router and changed the network setting, it helped a little, but on the speed tests at testmy.net, it would still spike from 14mbps to 1.5 or 2 mpbs in a matter of minutes.
I had no additional programs running or windows open, just the speed check.
We have three other computers on the same network, and they seem to work fine, so I am thinking that the problem is probably not in the network settings since the rest of them are working fine.
We used to have a wireless HP printer on this system, but it kept messing up so we removed it. I did notice a ton of HP stuff on the regedit, but did not want to mess with this since I was not sure if it was not really a part if the HP printer files, thought I should ask you all first.
I know nothing about computers, only what I have learned by hanging around this site - and following the "read this first" stuff, so I may need the instructions to be worded pretty simply. :unsur
