Hi

I've got a Dell 1520 laptop with Windows Vista SP1. I've been using a bluetooth headset/headphones which is a Sony DR-BT10CX. It's been working fine uptil now.

Sometimes when I installed a Windows update the headset stopped connecting, so what I've done in the past is go back to a previous restore point and the problem's been resolved, however now after the new year a new update was installed, which strangely allows the bluetooth headset to connect and you can hear the background noise through the headset, but when any sound is played, it continues to play through the laptop speakers.

I cannot go back to a previous restore point as all restore points before 2009 are no longer there. I've tried removing the headset and re-installing it a number of times, but still have the same problem!!

Anyone know a way around it?

I hope I've given enough information

Hi....I've resolved this issue, and its embarassing as to how simple the solution was.

Going back to a previous restore point was enough to remove the service pack.

The issue with the sound not playing through the bluetooth audio headset was that the audio output setting in playback devices, was set to always play audio through the laptop speakers.

I jus enabled it to allow playing through bluetooth headset and problem SOLVED! :)

Yeah.....I know what you're thinking....i was dumb lol, i agree :s
