After deleting the folder WindowssA (netfinder search toolbar) my Windows XP is not let me in, even using Adm login in safe mode!

Please help.

Try restarting the computer using "last known good configuration":

I have done this too! Does not work, keeps booting me out when I login with login name and password..

Any other suggestions?

What about using the windows xp cd room and install it again?

Should I be able to do this without loosing my programs and files already installed?

Please help, I'm going insane here!

This can be a good example of somebody trying to remove adware/spyware and getting really hurt in the process since I don't know much about computer systems..

Yes, here's a Windows XP repair installation guide

Here is how I have fixed this problem:


My computer is a Sony with W-XP Home Edition installed from factory, the recovery discs would erase all info in the hard drive and reinstalled all software including the OS, XP.

So, using the recovery discs was not an option.
I believe all brand name computer systems does this, so W-XP alone is not available.

Using a copy of XP Home Edition will not do either since you have to register it at the end of the process. Your own XP S/N WON'T WORK!

My final solution: $99 for a Windows XP Home Edition upgrade!

Here is how I did:

Reboot from the disc (CD)
Choose option to install XP - NOT REPAIR! The repair console won't work!

Just after the installation process the system will ASK YOU AGAIN to REPAIR PRESSING "R" CHOOSE THIS OPTION!

System will also ask for agreement, press F8

XP will installed under "Repair" mode and at the end you have to enter the registration code and register the software with Microsoft.

This will fix the login/logoff problem and YOU WILL NOT LOSE ANY INFORMATION PREVIOUSLY RECORDED IN YOUR HARD DRIVE!

All softwares will be functional again, even your internet connection!
