Hello iconiczack,

You may have used Malwarebytes before. If you have and still have it on your machine please update and run. Post the scan report back here.

If you do not have Malwarebytes please download from Here or Here

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.
  • Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
  • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  • Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan.
  • The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
  • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  • Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  • When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart.(See Extra Note)
  • The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
  • Copy&Paste the entire report in your next reply.
Extra Note:
If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts, click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process,if asked to restart the computer, please do so immediatly.

Next
  • Please download random's system information tool (RSIT) by random/random from here.
  • It is important that is saved to your desktop.
  • Double click on RSIT.exe to run RSIT.
  • Click Continue at the disclaimer screen.
  • Once it has finished, two logs will open. Please post the contents of both log.txt (<<will be maximized) and info.txt (<<will be minimized)
So when you return please post
  • MBAM log
  • the two RSIT logs - log.txt and info.txt

Note: Unless otherwise instructed always post the logs in the forum. It is likely these reports will not fit on one post. It might be necessary to break the logs up to get them on the forum. Just use as many posts as you need, that's fine. :)

Your Java is out of date, older versions are vunerable to attack.

Please download JavaRa to your desktop and unzip it to its own folder
  • Run JavaRa.exe, pick the language of your choice and click Select. Then click Remove Older Versions.
  • Accept any prompts.
  • Open JavaRa.exe again and select Search For Updates.
  • Select Update Using Sun Java's Website then click Search and click on the Open Webpage button. Download and install the latest Java Runtime Environment (JRE) version for your computer.
Next

You appear to have both Avast and Symantec anti-virus programs running on your machine.

Running two or more real-time anti-virus, anti-spyware and firewall monitors at the same time can cause a conflict. That conflict can result in slow computer performance, error messages, crashes of the programs or other types of failure. You will very likely end up with little or no protection.

Please uninstall one. If you decide to retain Avast then after you have been to Add or Remove Programs in your Control Panel and uninstalled Norton Symantec then please follow the following instructions to remove the residues of that anti-virus program.

Go here Norton Removal Tool to remove left over bits of the Norton AntiVirus Program. Choose the link for the version you had and then download and run the removal progam.

After you have carried out the foregoing please come back and tell me if there has been a change in your machines performance.

Kaspersky on line scanner is very thorough. It can take a long time and for periods may seem not to be working. Just be patient and let it do its job.

Kaspersky works with Internet Explorer and Firefox 3.

Go to Kaspersky website and perform an online antivirus scan.

Note: you will need to turn off your security programs to allow Kaspersky to do its job.

  • Read through the requirements and privacy statement and click on Accept button.
  • It will start downloading and installing the scanner and virus definitions. You will be prompted to install an application from Kaspersky. Click Run.
  • When the downloads have finished, click on Settings.
  • Make sure these boxes are checked (ticked). If they are not, please tick them and click on the Save button:
    • Spyware, Adware, Dialers, and other potentially dangerous programs
      Archives
      Mail databases
  • Click on My Computer under Scan.
  • Once the scan is complete, it will display the results. Click on View Scan Report.
  • You will see a list of infected items there. Click on Save Report As....
  • Save this report to a convenient place. Change the Files of type to Text file (.txt) before clicking on the Save button.
Copy and paste that information in your next post together with a new HijackThis log.

it says i have to use run command for it?

What are we referring to here? Are you saying you need a run command for AFT Cleaner or for Kaspersky?

If this is for AFT Cleaner tell me if you downloaded it and saved to your desktop. Or maybe when you went to download you were given a choice of a Run button or a Save button and that is what is confusing.

The best way to do it is to download and Save it to your desktop and from there double click to run it. :)

In normal course you have to turn off your anti-virus programs before you attempt to download Kapersky updates prior to running but once you have disabled your AV and started the process you shouldn't have to do anything else.

Lets see. Why don't we try a different one.

Panda only works if you are using Internet Explorer.

Please go HERE to run Panda's ActiveScan
" Once you are on the Panda site click the Scan your PC button
" A new window will open...click the Check Now button
" Enter your Country
" Enter your State/Province
" Enter your e-mail address and click send
" Select either Home User or Company
" Click the big Scan Now button
" If it wants to install an ActiveX component allow it
" It will start downloading the files it requires for the scan (Note: It may take a couple of minutes)
" When download is complete, click on My Computer to start the scan
" When the scan completes, if anything malicious is detected, click the See Report button, then Save Report and save it to a convenient location. Post the contents of the ActiveScan report
