Hello I am having a strange message come up whenever I open my IE6 to my Homepage yahoo.co.uk.

"This page is accessing info that is not under its control. This poses a security risk. Do you want to continue.. yes or no?"

Now all the while this is going on my homepage starts to change different colors and totally alters. When I first open IE it's classic blue then the popup comes up on the right hand side of the page and the page itself alters again. I have NEVER had a problem like this and I have always used this address as my homepage.

It's majorly slowing down my computer. I have ran crap cleaner, Xoftspy, I have checked my startup programs , I have checked my add ons, I have checked my hijack log ... everything is clear. So with this in mind does anyone have a clue as to whats doing this and how to fix it?

Thanks for all your help!

In IE, go to Tools > Internet Options > Advance tab.
Under Security tab, Customized button, disable prompt for security.

Set security level to "medium".

Hello, well I am still having trouble, in fact the problem is progressing. I did try setting my security settings to medium and it didnt matter.

It doesnt seem to matter if I hit yes on the popup , it makes no difference. I have even put the homepage under an allowed sit eon my securtity settings.

I have tried viewing email and now it suddenly closes email and brings me back to
homepage. The homepage is now freezing on occassion hompage.

Also if I am trying to enter my email and type in my screen name, then press <tab> to go to the next line (which i s where I enter the password) the cursor simply wont move. I have to use my mouse. If I am writing an email and go to enter an email address, it won't automatically bring up possible recipients. There is no prompt, I have tp physically type in the email address rather than chosing from a list once I enter the first letter of the email address.

It's getting worse and I am really at a loss as to what to do. I have checked my registry and havent found anything that really stands out, any other suggestions? Thankyou for your help, I appreciate it!

I suggest you go to the Malware Forum and run all the steps located in the START HERE. These self-help tools will help you clean up 70% of problems on your own. If you are still having problems after doing the steps, then please post a HiJackThis Log in THAT forum. If you are unable to run and/or post a HJT log, then post that in your initial post in the topic you create in that forum.

If you are still having problems after being given a clean bill of health from the malware expert, then please return to THIS thread and we will pursue other options to help you solve your current problem(s).
