Hello All;
I am trying to decide on buying a MAC PowerBook 12", does anyone have a review for this machine, mainly, is it good for a sometimes-not full time_ graphic designer if I am going to hook it up to a big LCD screen?
Thanks

Dear lullah,

I've switched from My PC to a 12" Powerbook. I did this because my computer was being swamped with viruses and trojan horses. I've been using my mac for a year now and I love it. It is an essential piece of equipment for any media. Trust me, you'll love it. Only get a laptop if you are planning on moving about. Otherwise you can get a more powerful Mac computer for less money. The ONLY reason you should get a powerbook is for portability, not performance. If you're just going to sit at home and use it - GET A Desktop Mac.

Anyway, that's my 2 cents,

Adios!

hello,
thank you for your reply. I do need the mobility, but I need to know if the 12'' can handle running photoshop and illustrator.
thanks

Thanks man, that's what I needed to hear. I was thinking about getting a G5, but then I went to our beach club, found that they have an extremely fast hot wifi spot, everyone has a laptop out, was working while watching the sea....yes! I am getting the 12"

happy happy happy :-)
