If index.dat files were not deleted, all is there.
To access those files, get Index.dat Suite: http://www.softpedia...dat-Suite.shtml

ahh, I must've deleted what I didn't want to. My boss gave me his old PC (virus/malware) infected. Only 3 people use that PC so I was hoping to find out who caused it to get infected as badly as it is. I'm cleaning it out completely as we speak and running several scans. I probably deleted the history, dangit. It was worth a shot though but I'm still glad to know about that software.
I do have strong suspicions of the responsible party who got the computer badly infected, the graveyard shift guy. To think on the brightside of things...I have a new PC now Its been sitting in our office since end of October or beginning of November. I asked the boss if I could have it and he said "Yeah, I'm just going to throw it away" YAY for me
Although, I'm sure I'll be posting in the Malware Forum before too long. Seeing how I'm just currently a wannabe Geek, Geek in training. I'd like for an expert to review the PC. I've already gotten rid of (through SUPERAntiSpyware) 17 Adware.180solutions/seekmo/Zango, 94 Adware.MyWebSearch/FunWebProducts, 106 Adware.Tracking Cookies, 7 Trojan.Fake-Drop/Gen.
Through Malwarebytes I got rid of 16 Adware.MyWebSearch and 1 Trojan.Vundo. Although I never completed the malware quick scan.
My Avanti on the boot scan got rid of 2 infections by win32 and Trojan-gen. I'm currently running the Avasti thorough scan.
I'm very skeptical of catching everything so I intend on doing a HJT in the Malware Forum.

for the future....
The WinSpy index.dat viewer lets you read the contents of your index.dat files (it's free and a small download). If you are not familiar with these files, don't be surprised - they are hidden on your computer. Windows uses index.dat files to organize data on your system. They reside in the Cookies, History and Internet Explorer’s cache folders. This presents two problems: Index.dat files can grow quite large and as they increase in size, they tend to be bogged down with unneeded data - making them less efficient. Secondly, snoops can recover the index.dat file and read details such as your History, even though the items may have already been 'deleted' from the History folder. .you can get it here...
NOTE....THE MALWARE TOOLS WILL SEE WinSpy index.dat viewer AS MALWARE...it is actually...its considered spyware because you can see what sites they have been surfing to...
I have used it many times to prove to clients that indeed their son has been going to porn sites...the looks on the kids faces are priceless when you show them where they have been surfing while they stutter and stammer saying they cleared their history...
ccleaner does delete the index.dat files

Thanks happyrock, Great Information.
Unfortunately, I must have deleted the history information when I was doing major cleaning of my custom built PC with the XP Home Edition.
I've saved that program though for future use. Thanks again.
