Hello,

Have you decided what flavor of linux you would like to run?

If new to linux I would recommend Ubuntu. But here is a few you might try.

Hi,

For most Linux distributions, you can get them free of charge. You would need to download them yourself though. After that, burn them to a CD or DVD (depending on big the ISO file is)

The rest of the steps will be similar to installing Windows if you are familiar with installing Windows.

If you have a slow connection, you may be interested at ShipIt.

Both Ubuntu and Kubuntu offer to ship them free of charge to you (no shipping charges incurred)

You need an account with either one of them to order the CD.
