well... let me try to help!
this is what u could do -
*uninstall Mc Afee,+ after doing the rest of the steps re-install it - if u prefer it- or try getting either Norton Anti virus, Quick Heal or AVG - all i think are available on Ares!
*update Spybot S&D and run a scan and also run Ad-aware SE (http://www.lavasoft.de/)
*if u can, just post what the problems spybot lists are.
if that dosent solve ur prb-
*get hijackthis 1.99 - http://www.spywarein.../HijackThis.exe
- i am not well versed at HJT, so post ur HJT log on the forum for it here - under internet.
Read this for instruction on using the programs i mentioned if required.
http://www.geekstogo..._Log-t2852.html
*after cleaning your system install Javacool's Spyware blaster (http://www.wildersse...areblaster.html)
* i would recomend that u use firefox, if you are using IE.
* and also use a good firewall like Zone Alarm and a good anti-virus.
- post back with your status

via internet explorer, go to http://www.pandasoft...com/activescan/ and scan your pc. please post the results of your scan here. some viri will disable norton/mcaffee from running properly.
Click on Scan your PC. A new browser window will open with Panda ActiveScan. If this is the first time you scan your PC, you'll have to download the ActiveX controls (8 MB). The time it takes to download these can vary between 15 minutes, for a 56 Kbps modem, and 30 seconds, with a 1.5 Mbps connection.
you may need to reset the security of your internet explorer. go to tools, internet options, security. at the bottom click on default level and set it to medium and then apply.
