:) I'm going crazy here ! My tweenage nephew added himself a user account on his Mom's and mine pc. Vista home prem. OS. Well, somehow, he did away with our Adm. account and password. There is a new Adm. account Name now when we log on that we can't get into. We have to log into his user account but of coarse it won't let us control ANYTHING on the PC. He has no idea what he did or what the password could be. Is there anyway to override this Adm. account and password ? If not, how do you format/reformat vista. His account shows up as the computer name-pc/his user name . Does that seem right? Thank ya'll, Gangan

BIOS or Operating System's passwords are there for the purpose related to Security and Privacy to protect the legitimate owner of a machine. While there are many locations on the Internet that might help you learn about managing passwords for a machine's BIOS or Operating System, we at G2G do not assist in what amounts to hacking past a machine's Security and Privacy safeguards.

While such requests are often legitimate, and come from users who experience exactly the kind of problem that you post, we have no way of determining legitimate vs. not legitimate, therefore we do not respond to such requests.

Gangan,

I apologize for the misunderstanding. I did not call you a hacker. I can understand the misunderstanding. The terms hacking means making a electronic device do something that it is not designed to do. In this case bypass security settings.

Gangan,

I'm sorry you feel that way, but Tuxmaster was only following the rules of our site. We don't help people bypass passwords for two reasons. The first one is that we can't verify the truthfulness of someone's request because we have no way of confirming ownership through the Internet. This is a rule we apply uniformly, regardless of the request. Secondly, if we were to provide you this information, someone else whose motives were not honest would also have access to this information, leaving us in the position of having assisted in dishonest activities. I hope you understand the resoning behind the original response.
