This is not a MalWare issue, but rather a "Me Too!" style post regarding another in this forum:
http://www.geekstogo...em-t138989.html

I have the same issue. Identical, in fact. The only way my situation changes is that I am not trying to install an illegal version of Symantec, I'm trying to get rid of it. I won't go into details about how the offensive thing came to taint my computer, only that I should start locking my computer when I have company.

Anyway, often when I right-click somewhere, and almost always when I right-click on an object with specific Explorer functions (like the Recycling Bin, My Computer, etc.) Windows Installer starts, claiming that some file that it needs is on another Network Resource. It's looking for SCS.msi, and then it gives me a truncated location where it isn't located.

I'd like this to stop. Any help would be much appreciated.
