Run OTList2.exe

    O20 - HKLM Winlogon: Shell - ( System.exe)

    [emptytemp]
  • Then click the Run Fix button at the top
  • Let the program run unhindered, reboot when it is done
  • It will produce a log for you on reboot, please post that log in your next reply.

I don't know if that is natural, but whenever I run the fix on OTListIt2 it seems that it is not responding. I can't run it because it's taking too long to respond...

First, we need to backup your registry:
Please go to Start > Run
Paste in the following line:regedit /e c:\registrybackup.reg
Click OK.
It won't appear to be doing anything, that's normal.
Your mouse pointer may turn to an hour glass for a minute.
Please continue when it no longer has the hour glass.

Please open up Notepad and copy all of the items in the code box below.
Change the "Save As Type" to "All Files". Save it as fixthis.reg on your Desktop.
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon]
"Shell"="Explorer.exe"

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run]
"AdobeBridge"=-
"Runonce"=-
Now double-click fixthis.reg.
A window will come up asking if you want to let it merge with the registry.
Click yes.

After that please let me know how things are running?

I think that's the only thing missing... and I'm still finding ways how to rename my Recycle Bin which name turned to "G.W. Bush"...

Before we did the fix, my command prompt is not functioning... it says something like it was stopped by the administrator...?? i don't remember the exact words... I'm not good in English,.

Please save this attached zip file to your desktop.
Right click on it and choose Exctract then hit next for the next prompts.
Double click the fix.reg file and hit yes to let it merge with your registry.
[attachment=29061:fix.zip]

Reboot after that and tell me if your run box is back.

Can you send me a screenshot of what you see if you click the Start button:

To do that please click the Start button and then press the prt scr button on your keyboard.
Then go to Start > Run type in MSpaint.
Then in the File menu go to Paste.
This will paste the screenshot into Paint.
Then save that image as a .jpeg on your desktop.
Then in your next reply click on the Browse button and then go to the picture that you saved.
Then click on Upload.
Then click the dropdown that says Manage current attachments.
Then insert image into text editor.
