The link on the g2g homepage says, "if you're reading this, chances are you're already protected" against conficker. I looked in both the malware removal forums for a pinned topic about how to scan for conficker but I didn't find one.

I have an IBM ThinkPad R50 running Windows XP Professional, Version 2002, SP 3 v.5657. I searched my hard drive for files with conficker in their name and there were no results (though it did say "not looking in hidden files or folders").

Is that all I need to look for? Or is there something else I need to do to make sure there's no conficker on my machine and that there never will be?
