Hi, I have been having a problem while playing video games on my PC. After a random amount of time playing a game, my computer crashes in the middle of the game. I get a BSOD stating "IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL"
After a long time of forum searching I found the windows debudding tools and symbol files. I am posting the results of the debug. I have also used windows memory tester and found no errors. This happens frequently now. I have also created a complete memory dump for this. If someone can look at the info and tell me why my PC carshed I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks!

whoa, too much info :tazz:

what game?

As the debug report notes, this problem is usually caused by a drive writing to the wrong address, and 8 of 10 times its a video driver, 1 of 10 times an audio driver and the other one....who knows.

So, let's start with video...you have a sis chip in there, that much I can tell, but what one is unclear....

Do you know?

This particular crash is in World of Warcraft. I am running an Nvidia Geforce FX 5500+ OC BFG Card. I am not sure of the chip in the card. My audio chip is an NForce2. I have the most recient graphics drivers and audio drivers v.4.42

Other Info:

AMD Athlon XP 3200+
512 MB DDR RAM
350W Antec SmartBlue PSU
160 GB WD HDD
15 GB WD HDD

wish I could find a manual for this....

first, You have a motherboard with integrated video AND an external videocard. That's always a problem.

Do you have a manual? Can you disable on board video (or is it)? The reason is you are sharing memory between video and system memory and that can cause conflicts.

Who made this? I don't see that motherboard on their site, so I wonder if it's rebadged?

Actually, a manual did come with the computer in PDF format. Not sure how to completely disable the onboard though. Have been trying to seince I got the PC. I have decreased the shared memory to 8 MB to give the memory back to windows.

I also just found out that the Bios in my system automatically disables the Onboard Graphics when it detects an AGP Graphics Card, that is why the option states "AGP/Onboard"

That is also the reason I put in my old PCI Geforce MX440 to work on my videos. I tried the onboard card and it did not work.

Fixed the problem just by simply adding another 512MB DDR Stick in the computer! This makes a HUGE improvement in my game performance too, so it was very much worth it. Thanks for the help!
