I'm running Vista Home Premium 64-bit.
With a wireless card called: WL-181 Wireless Network 300N PCI Card
Router is a Philips model (a Belgium product)
My problem:
Every 60seconds Vista preforms a scan for new wireless connections, resulting in a lag spike.
Wireless Zero Config is my key word for trying to get a fix on this problem.
My options to resolve:
- Turning 2 options off on my Wireless Connection (didn't work):
* Connect automaticly when this network is in range
* Connect to a more preferred network if available
- Run Vista AntiLag (didn't work)
- Run Optimized (didn't work)
- Tryed with scripts to Disable Wlan (didn't work):
* C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe /k netsh wlan set autoconfig enabled=yes interface="Wireless Network Connection"
* C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe /k netsh wlan set autoconfig enabled=no interface="Wireless Network Connection"
This option in Vista compleetly shuts down Wireless lan immediatly, so resulting in a internet loss.
This also shutted down my wireless lan card - so I couldnt setup it anymore.
- Also made a new registry (didn't work):
* HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\Interfaces\{GUID}
* DhcpConnDisableBcastFlagToggle
ADDED 04/05/09
- Changing an Scan Interval number in regedit (didn't work):
* HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Wlansvc\Interfaces\{randomized code}
* Look for "Scan Interval" and change "60 ea 00 00" to "00 ea 00 00".
Didn't work for me, it reset to 60 after reboot and ping didn't change before reboot aswell.
Optional things ive done:
- Router Firmware updated
- Wireless Card updated
Any help from here on is defently apreciated.
Thanks in advance.
