Hi, this is a strange problem ... I have a Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop and sometimes when I close the lid it restarts instead of "sleeping". The strange thing is that this only happens sometimes. I'm still trying to identify if it's when the power chord is plugged in or not.

I've already checked the closing lid options in Control Panel > Power Options and everything is set to Sleep so I don't know why my laptop would be restarting instead.

Thank You

Have you checked settings in the BIOS to see if they're the issue?

I know usasma has this under control. I just wanted to add in that this is a corruption of sleep mode on your computer. I recommend to reset your sleeping options, to where you would be in Hybrid Sleep Mode.

Worth reading, imo.
