Hi guys and girls,

I am ashamed to say that I am a complete muppet when it comes to computers and could do with your help!

I am living in Dubai at the moment and want to play Wii against my friends back home, but can't as a lot is blocked by the government here!

I connect to the internet on my laptop via a VPN which allows me free reign with what I view. IS THERE ANY WAY TO CONNECT MY WII TO MY LAPTOP AND ACCESS THE INTERNET THROUGH THAT AND, THEREFORE, THROUGH THE VPN??

As I said, I am pretty poor with computers so help in very basic speak would be amazing!

Thanks so much to you all in advance!

Ed

p.s. I have 2 laptops, one running XP and one running Vista (eugh!)

I got quick and really fast Wii help when I called the Nintendo Support line for Wii only. They walked me through the steps so I think you would get a better and faster answer going to their web site online.

Thanks Ron, appreciate the tip.

Did they help you with this specific question or was yours on another topic?

Cheers,

I was setting up my sister's Wii on the Internet, but none of the IPs I was using was working. Called them and they suggested to keep on going. I was on the right track, just the wrong numbers. LOL Yours may be a little different, but they should be able to suggest what you need to input when you are setting up the Internet connection inside the Wii Setup Console.
