On my Vista, I upgraded Internet Explorer to ver. 8 last night, and without even asking, IE made itself my default browser.
Obviously, Firefox is my regular browser.
Why won't Micro$oft stop pissing people off?
I guess, they'll never change without some court order.
In Europe, they're able to teach Micro$oft some manners, why not here, in US?

That was an issue recently that people were upset about. If you chose the Keep defaults option it changed the default browser to explorer.

There are lots of programs that I have chose to "custom install" and there is always something there I choose not to include. One that comes to mind is the FoxIt's Toolbar when you install FoxIt.

I think it should be illegal to sneak things in there like that. Or atleast, make it very obvious that you are choosing to include it or not. In the IE8 example, there should be a seperate window come up, "Would you like to make IE 8 your default browser?" and then you cannot continue untill you have chosen your answer. GRRRR :)
