Alright well i got myself a nice little virus either as a tag along in a torrent or off an adult site... im not really sure because its been pretty tame durring most of what i do on my computer.

Here are the symptoms I have noticed:

1. Some google links redirect to an unrelated ad site when clicked

2. Many anti-virus sites are blocked and even if i download an anti-virus program elsewhere it fails to update.

3. I get a message on at least one adult site that i have the Troj/Rustok-N virus which is performing Demand Of Service attacks on them and it recommends i get some antivirus program which i suspect is full of more viruses

Heres what ive tried:

1. I deleted all temp files with CCleaner (i always do this before running a scan)

2. McAfee - says im clean
3. Windows Defender - Says im clean
4. Spy Bot Search and Destroy - I cant access its website to download
5. Malwarebytes - Cant access website to download
6. cureit (Dr. Web) - i downloaded it but it cant update
- i ran it in safe mode and it came up with two things but it wouldnt finish... i left it on for 24 hrs and it wouldnt finish. it was working fine till about 95%ish and it slowed to 33kb per second and never seemed to finish that file. (tried it again with simlar results)
- it also found one suspicious file but i could not delete it because it never finished :)

7. All of these (that i was able to actually get) were run independently of each other in both safe and normal modes.

Ive read other posts anbot this virus on other sites but either theyre really complicated or they arent experiencing the anti-virus site blocks im getting.

Im a college student so im pretty good with computers but this trojan has befuddled me. Id keep trying cureit but +24hrs with my computer in safe mode cuts me off from my friends and it really doesnt seem to be working right.

Thanks, Im looking forward to a response :)
