Hi I have just had to do a system restore as after downloading windows updates some programs refused to work.I have all my programs working again and I was told by HP not to download any windows updates at all now. My problem is I have a sony video camera and have downloaded the supposedly fix for the picture package program as we couldn't use this. I downloaded the update for vista but the picture package program will not let me import from the camera. It says on the picture package screen cannot find the handycam check the I-Link connection to the handycam.I have checked the I-Link cable and followed the instructions but it won't let me import. Any help would be great as my son needs to do a project and needs to import video asap.

What are your system specs? What make and model of HP is it? What Windows Updates do you have on the system already (?SP1 ?SP2)
Did you get the name of the person who told you not to install any Windows Updates?
