I have tried both. I use google about 10 times a day if not more. I have tested both searching the same information and have received different results for both but both relevant to what I was looking for. I still think google is king because theres no advantage to using bing over google imo but I wanna know what others think of bing. :)

Well, I haven't tried Bing. Google does everything I need it to do. Why change what is working? I think if I'm searching for something that Google isn't finding, then I may head over that way to see if Bing can find it, but Google will be my "default" search engine for now.

I have used Bing and personally if I am doing research for a paper for school Bing is the way to go because the sites they give you are more appropriate like the .org, ,gov, .edu and .net. :) Otherwise if I am just playing around I use google.

I don't think bing is any less safe than google. You can search for any website you want through either of them. some of them will stuff the other won't some more related and some less related. With google and bing neither scan the sites your going to for safety. They just direct you to the site which is where AVG safe search comes helpful and WOTis also valuable.

Now that I think about it, I'm unsure if WOT and AVG work with scanning sites in Bing so that could be 1 factor making it less safe overal....

http://www.mywot.com...ets-wot-ratings

Microsoft's Bing, the search engine formally known as Live Search, Windows Live Search, and MSN Search, has garnered lots of attention lately (and a bit of market share too.) WOT supports Bing search results with our ratings, in addition to supporting other popular search engines.

Porn made easy

Recent criticisms of Bing say that it's making searching for porn too easy. Bing has a feature called Smart Motion Previews which provides video previews in the search results, which is great in concept, but it doesn't know the difference between a video of sleeping puppies and porn. Any motivated middle schooler can easily turn off Bing's SafeSearch and watch porn for hours without ever visiting a porn site.

Kim Komando suggests blocking Bing until Microsoft comes up with a solution. For people attempting to surf porn at work, Microsoft has published instructions for a workaround, that will make it harder to access porn from their work PCs.
