When I click on the IE 8(Internet) icon I always have to "fill-out" those stupid boxes. I've tried adjustment of settings in Security tab--IT doesn't do what I want. I want to remove whatever I have to, so I can go directly into IE8 Explorer.
Please reply, A.S.A.P.,
Sincerely,
Ole' Joe

Every time, I "click" on my I.E.icon(to get into internet explorer, I have to "LOG-ON"(type in log-on and password). I have tried everything I can think of;but, this happens ALL of the time. Even, after I have already done it,while in Windows 7.
Now;with that,if there's "any" thing you know of,besides re-installing windows... I've done ALL I can that is reccomended by Windows web site, as how to repair I.E.8.
Respond if you have any workable solutions, or refer this to someone who might know how to repair this.

How do you connect to the internet? Is it asking you for a broadband username and password when you open?

How do you connect to the internet? Is it asking you for a broadband username and password when you open?

I'm always connected. Yes, when I click on the icon for I.E.8, I always have to enter both my e-mail address and my password. I have gone into Tools,Security, and made changes in how I "log-on";but, nothing I do(now, and for some time.)lets me go right into my home web page. I've tried resetting it,etc.,etc. And the fact that I'm running Windows 7 32-bit, 7100 build. Microsoft won't let me un-install I.E. 8,or re-install it. Trust me---I checked. So, that's where I'm at.
Thanks for your reply,
Joe

In IE8 try this.

Tools>Internet Options
Under the General Tab click Delete under the Browsing History section. Select to remove all cookies.
Now click the Advanced Tab.
There you will see the option to Reset IE8 back to default settings.

This should take IE8 back to the settings it had back when Win7 was first installed. Does that help resolve the login issue?

Makaveli213,
I believe I have already tried this;but, I'll do it again--just to be sure.
Thank-you for your quick reply,
Ole' Joe

You'll have no problem if you just get Firefox.. You'll also help all the web-designers, by not using IE thus, them not having to build stuff around IE.

(though because IE doesn't work.. try to use a usb-drive.. download FF on it.. and then install it)
