I use IE 7.0 for my web browsing. For a short while now after browsing a few sites, using two or three IE windows, nothing will load/respond. I end up having to close down the IE browsers and opening a new one. I run AVG anti virus and it says I am clean. Is there anything else I can do?

Hi, first you should upgrade to IE8 removed malware advice.

I have gone through the Malware & Spyware Cleaning guide. The only item that did not complete was the Microsoft Update Check. I went to the MS website and click on "express" and it just runs. I have the RootRepeal log as well as the OTL logs if necessary I will post them.

Naeby, this is not the correct forum for posting logs. Did the scans you performed as part of the guide find any infections? If so, the logs should be posted in the Malware forum. Is it only your browser that stops responding? Do you get any error messages?

I understand that the logs have to be in the Malware forum. It is only the Browser that stops responding. And actually if I have multiple tabs open, sometimes only one or two stop responding but the other(s) may still work. I do not receive any messages. Eventually the stalled windows will go white at which point I use the task manager to shut them down. The Malwarebytes-Antimalware program found 11 infections. I do not recall there being any other finds as far as viruses/malware, etc.

I would start a topic there and post your logs. It would be a good idea to have one of our malware experts take a look and make sure you're clean, since there were infections found by Malwarebytes. :)
