I'm pretty sure this isn't a virus, but I could be wrong. Every now and then, the hard drive light will light up for a good minute or two, and during this time, changing pages on IE gets excessively slow, usually causing IE to become "not responding", until it can finally load the page. This sometimes affects MSN messanger, and other programs in the explorer bar, I'm assuming. Also, some pages seem to trigger this, but if they do, they typically only do it once.

I have no idea what this could be, I've tried system restoring to a couple of days earlier (the 14th) but it's still doing this. If anyone has any idea how to fix this, I would be much obliged. Thanks in advance. :)

If you need any more information, tell me, I'll answer to the best of my ability.
