SQL Service pack @ updating problem

I have had this problem on my computer for some time now and it is now worrying me. Every time I do an update on my computer everything is successful except for " Security Update for SQL Server 20005 Servce Pack 2 (KB960089).

The error details were

Error detail: C0000005

and after recently clearing out my system it is now

Error detail: Code FF

I have tried going through the internet for this problem and tried different things. But nothing seems to work.

I looked up the codes and only one was on this web page:
Mircosoft update codes

Also tried this from Microsoft:
mirsoft help

but after opening the cmd prompt I get a "System error 5 has occurred" access denied.

Finally I'm not sure if this has anything to do with the problem sometimes a window stating.

"Hotfix Installer stopped working and was closed"

Any help on this would be great.
