Excel programing

I want to make a little excel program that looks like software in a very simple way. All I want to do is to put a figue in a cell and the result is what the net and VAT is for the gross figure. I have designed the spreadsheet locked the cells down and stopped it from scrolling but I want it to look like a software without the excel tool bar. I am sure I have seen something like this before.

My problem is that I know what I want have seen something just like it a long time ago but am unsure if the visual basic direction is what I should be using. Please can someone point me in the right direction.
