Hi,
After an infection its possibly your PC is just dirty or in-fact there is an issue with your system. Please follow the steps below.
**********************************************************************************************************************Do you have you origional Windows Vista disk?
If so lets run sfc:
We are going to scan your system for broken/ missing system files.
- Click Start then select run , then press enter. A run window will open
- type in cmd then press enter. Another window will open
- type in sfc then press enter. Another window will open
- type in sfc /scannow then press enter ( notice the space between the (sfc & /)
- Now a scan will start , have your Windows XP disk ready. If your PC asks for the disc insert the CD into your CD Drive. When the scan is finished you will need to close the cd and all open windows , then remove the CD.
Then post back with the results.

Next please download AutoRuns.
Please download Autoruns from HERE
- Extract the Autoruns Zip file contents to a folder.
- Double-click the "Autoruns.exe".
- Click on the "Everything" tab
- Remove any entries that mention "File Not Found" by right-clicking the entry and select Delete.
- Go to File then to Export As.
- Save AutoRuns.txt file to know location.
- Attach to your next reply

If not:
Please run both
Auslogics defrag and
TFC.
Run both program separately and see what the results are afterwards.

Note:If you have a dual-boot or multiple-boot computer, select the installation that you want to access from the Recovery Console.When you are prompted to do so,
type the Administrator password. If the administrator password is blank, just press ENTER.
At the Recovery Console command prompt, type the following then press Enter:
chkdsk /rAllow this to run UNDISTURBED until completed (45 min or so)
Report any errors
