i have recently got rid of all malware

I suggest you go to the Malware Forum and run all the steps located in the START HERE. These self-help tools will help you clean up 70% of problems on your own. If you are still having problems after doing the steps, then please post a OTListIt2 log in THAT forum. If you are unable to run and/or post a OTListIt2 log, then post that in your initial post in the topic you create in that forum.

If you are still having problems after being given a clean bill of health from the malware expert, then please return to THIS thread and we will pursue other options to help you solve your current problem(s).

This doesn't affect operation of the channel, but does affect the ability for the publisher to raise events to the channel. One common reason for this error is that Provider is using ETW Provider Security and has not granted enable permissions to the Eventlog service identity.

I don't see any newer errors there...

Go Start>Run ("Start Search" in Vista), type in:
sfc /scannow
Click OK (hold CTRL, and SHIFT, hit Enter in Vista).
Have Windows CD/DVD handy (with Vista, most likely, you won't need it).
If System File Checker (sfc) will find any errors, it may ask you for the CD/DVD (rarely in Vista case).
If sfc won't find any errors in Windows XP, it'll simply quit, without any message.

Open Windows Explorer. Navigate to C:\Windows\Logs\CBS folder. You'll see CBS.log file.
Open the file in Notepad. Delete all lines from the beginning up to a date, when you ran "sfc".
Save the log as CBS.txt and attach it to your next reply.

It's Vista thingy. Copy the file, paste it to your desktop and try to open it from there.
