I am considering building a new desktop pc as my old pc has finally passed away. I have browsed newegg a bit and it seems quite confusing.
I would like keep the cost between 500-700 dollars. Requirements would include 64 bit windows 7 with maybe 6-8 gigs of ram. Dual Dvi video card with 1920x1200 support for each monitor. I will be doing quite a bit of multitasking so am leaning towards quad core processors. I wouldn't mind attempting to overclock the machine but like I said before I am a complete newbie.
My experience includes installing video cards, ram, and hard drives.
This is what I have come up with so far
AMD Phenom II x 4

video card

combo case and hard drive

power supplies I have looked at

cd/dvd drive

I really have no idea about which motherboard I should get and what ram is associated with it. I would like to have firewire support and potentially an esata connection to work on hard drives from work.
