Basically I turned off my lovely machine whilst it was powering down as I was in a rush and when I re-booted it in the morning all I got was the message 'Windows failed to boot etc this could be due to recent hardware updates etc or changes in the registry' you know the one.

I alos got the error code that error code 00000x9 or something like that.

I tried starting it up in every mode but that just took me back to the same screen. I even bought a recovery disk from ebay and tried that but no joy.

I am thinking the only thing I can do is buy a new operating system?

And the reason I don't have a windows disk already is because I bought the PC second hand and he didn't give me anything with it.

Please help if you can!
