I have tried everything suggested here in this forum, but i still have the problem.Problem is that when i rightclick drives in my computer, the explorer.exe shuts down, then i have the error message from explorer followed by the errormessage from dr.watson.
Then i need go to taskmanager and do "end process tree" on drwtsn.exe to get the computer back from freeze, resulting in programs dissapearing from the taskbar but still running.
Have been reading around here to try find a solution, as we speak i am running some scans online, to check for problems, but looks clean.

Pls help me....

Do you use Photoshop?
http://forums.us.del...essage.id=53588

Also a scandisk might help :

Thank you for answering ;)

First... i do not have photoshop installed now, i did have a while ago, and i did what they told me in the link you sent me, to remove remains of it.

Second...i did a scandisk after restart last night, couldn't sit up and wait for it, as i have a few GB to scan, was finished this morning.

But nothing is changed, exept for that it did work to rightclick in my computer last night, not this morning, now everything is like it was.
Rightclick, explorer errormessage followed by dr watson errormessage, me pressing ctrl alt delete to end dr watsons misery, resulting in a few lost icons in the taskbar.

Whats new is that i think have closed in on the problem a little, it is only when i rightclick any of the drives in My Computer the error comes, not by clicking folders or control panel.
With drives i mean everything, floppy, dvd/cd-rom's, harddrives and any removable storage :tazz:

Any help would be greatly apreciated, as i am quite lost here.......

Please read:
http://windowsxp.mvp...wrightclick.htm

The program they advise is available here:
http://www.nirsoft.n...s/shexview.html
It might help with your problem. First one to check would still be remains of PhotoShop.

Keep me posted,

;) Yep ;)

AlcoholShellEx, after i disabeled it rightclick started working again :)

But, this is a program i use all the time, will this render the program unuseable?
Or will a reinstall fix this problem?
This is not a new program on my computer, i have been using it for a couple years now.

Thank you very very very much for your help :tazz:

The program will continue to work. You will only have lost the rightclick option.

Re-install is worth a try if it used to work without problems.
I would at least check if there is a newer version available.
