Hi and thanks for your help. My notebook (Gateway M275/Windows XP) had a meltdown that the guys over in Malware helped me resolve, but now there is no sound coming from the computer. I went to Gateway, downloaded the sound drivers, and followed their instructions for installation, but I can't get them installed. I get a Hardware Update Wizard message:
Cannot continue the hardware update wizard
The wizard could not find a better match for your hardware than the software you currently have installed.

So then the instructions said to uninstall then reinstall if there is a problem...so I uninstalled and still get the same message.

Any help is appreciated :)
