Error in winsock module

Hi All,
Can anyone pleasae help me?
I am getting errors while trying to connect to net,

smss.exe
services.exe
csrss.exe

windows pop up when trying to connect, i ran antivirus and was a sober worm have deleted them but still have this problem, only way i can connect is by deleting these programs from Ctrl, alt, delete each time i wish to connect.

Is there a way i can get around this problem?

this is a windows 98 PC? Those are windows nt services...if it is win98, please post a hijackthis log (not looking for malware), so I can see what is going on
