AVI to DVD

Hey
i have an AVI movie on my computer that i want to burn to DVD and watch it on my home DVD player. i use Nero to burn my movies usually they are in VOB files. my nero wont Convert my AVI files to DVD does anyone know of a FREE AVI to DVD converter. Or anything to help me out
