Recently when I attempt to run Windows using Windows Internet Explorer version:8.0.6001.18702 I keep receiving the following error message.
Please change your Internet Explorer security settings
To save changes to your settings for this website, you need to enable userdata persistence for Internet Explorer. Complete the steps below, and then click Change settings to the left and try saving your changes again.
1. In Internet Explorer, on the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
2. Click the Security tab, click the Internet security zone icon, and then click Custom Level.
3. In the Settings dialog box, scroll to the Miscellaneous section.
4. Under Userdata persistence , select Enable.
5. Click OK and when the security warning dialog box appears, click Yes.

Read more about steps you can take to resolve this problem (error number 0x800A0046) yourself.
However, when I follow the above instructions my system is already set as per outlined above. As a consequence I am using this medium to solicit assistance in resolving this problem.
All suggestions and or assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Hey volcar. :)

I did a quick search on the microsoft website and found this page which might be of help:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/883821

They give a couple of solutions to your problem, neither of which you have mentioned. The first 4 solutions match your error.

I suggest you give their solutions a go and let us know how it goes. :)
